Entertainment Weekly also posed the interesting question to Kirkman of whether or not “Fear the Walking Dead” could cause an oversaturation in AMC’s zombie world.

Over the last couple of months, as substantial footage and details about The Walking Dead spinoff Fear the Walking Dead have surfaced, the show’s gotten more and more intriguing. Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis head up the show, starring as guidance counsellor Madison Clark and English teacher Travis Manawa respectively.
Because the show is debuting to a built-in fanbase, “the most exciting thing is that they know the rules that (we) the characters don’t know”, noted cast member Elizabeth Rodriguez.

At Comic-Con in July, showrunner Dave Erickson said he and seriescreator Robert Kirkman wanted to do a show that was nearly the opposite of The Walking Dead.
