Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who is Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s running mate, said the attacks show a clear need for immigration reform.

Police said Cetin had one prior arrest, last year, for assault.

Dozens of people attended a prayer service for the victims of a deadly mall shooting in Washington state.

Arcan Cetin, 20, is facing five counts of first-degree murder, according to Skagit County jail records. Officials announced the gunman was caught in Oak Harbor, Washington and is in custody.

Sergeant Mark Francis, a public information officer with Washington State Patrol, tweeted a message confirming the 5th fatality of the previous night’s incident at Cascade Mall in Burlington.

Although FBI investigators initially said that there was no reason to suspect that terrorism played a role in Cetin’s actions, state investigators said that it’s too early to rule anything out, as the investigation is in its early stages, according to CNN.

Police described Cetin’s demeanor when apprehended as “zombie like“, and said he was unarmed.

“I said, “you’re under arrest” and he didn’t say much – well, he didn’t say anything at all”, Hawley said.

The suspect’s arrest capped a frantic search following the slayings of five people the day before.

A fourth victim, also a woman, worked as a “makeup stylist” at the Macy’s cosmetics counter.

A spokesman for the Skagit County Emergency Operations Center said an unidentified male victim died early Saturday at a Seattle hospital.

“There are people waking up this morning, and their world has changed forever”.

Burlington Mayor Steve Sexton’s voice trembled as he noted that the randomness of gun violence in America―which causes an estimated 30,000 deaths a year―had hit his small town.

The shooting suspect is Arcan Cetin, 20-year-old resident of Oak Harbor, Washington, police said.

Cammock said officers are reconstructing the entire scene at the mall.

Cetin is the lone suspect for a shooting at a Burlington mall Friday that left five people dead, but he has not been formally charged. The identity of the suspect, his motive and how he got a rifle into the mall remained unanswered.

Cetin is expected to make his first court appearance at 11 a.m. Monday. It was other employees from the base who were able to identify him from the mall’s surveillance footage.

A judge told Cetin in December he was not allowed to own a firearm. His stepfather convinced the judge not to impose a no-contact order.

The motive remains unclear, but law enforcement sources told KING-TV Cetin’s ex-girlfriend used to work at the Macy’s where the shooting happened.

Oak Harbor, where Cetin lived, is a city of 22,000.

The gunman entered the shopping center without a weapon, but 10 minutes later, went inside Macy’s with a rifle and opened fire, authorities said Saturday. The identity of the man who was fatally shot was also withheld and may not be released until Monday.

Burlington is a city of about 8,000 people, but its population swells to several times that as people visit the mall and area outlet stores during the week. She said “it’s nerve-wracking” and she’s nervous about taking her 7-year-old daughter to her soccer game.
