You officially made the most cash money in the previous year out of all the other actresses in the biz. The “Blind Side” Oscar victor dropped to No. 13 on the 2015 list, earning an estimated $8 million. She beat number two on the list, Scarlett Johansson, by $16.5 million. Melissa McCarthy – US$23 million 4. This year, Forbes changed things up, including actresses from all around the world.

Mum-of-one Scarlett took home a hefty paycheck for her turn as the Black Widow in Marvels Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Since breaking out in Bridesmaids in 2011, McCarthy has churned out several big-budget comedies with director Paul Feig, including The Heat, Spy and the upcoming all-female reboot of Ghostbusters.

In fifth place is Jennifer Aniston with $16.5 while Roberts is just a half million behind the former friends star, ranking in at sixth. Next year we could see her bumped even higher with the launch of her new all-sizes clothing line. The lady garnered a place with her role in the movie The White-Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom.

Jennifer Lawrence was listed as the world’s highest-paid actress by the Forbes magazine Thursday for her starring in the “Hunger Games” film series and her sponsorship contract with Dior.

Many actresses have recently spoken out about sexism in Hollywood – and that’s exactly what this is: by paying women less than men in any career field, we’re telling women that their contributions are not almost as important or valuable as men.

Sandra Bullock was 2014’s top earning actress. Julia Roberts came in at #6 thanks to her deals with Lancome, Givenchy and Calzedonia. Pulling in the same amount as Jolie is Reese Witherspoon, who is no doubt partially banking off of her lifestyle site, Draper James.

The magazine released its list of highest paid actresses and if you’ve been following JLaw’s career, this shouldn’t be surprising.

According to the Forbes’ report, earnings were measured for a year starting June 1, 2014, based on data from Nielson, Box Office Mojo, IMDB, “as well as interviews with agents, managers, lawyers”.

Despite incomes that may seem out of this world, the discrepancy between what male and female actors are paid is still very prevalent.
