Obama advices Hillary to ‘be yourself’ before presidential debates

Neither Trump nor Clinton have been particularly popular with Utah voters, but seeing them side-by-side on the debate stage at Hofstra University in NY on Monday evening could change that.

Republican Trump and Democrat Clinton will face off for the first time in the first of three scheduled presidential debates on Monday at the Hofstra University on Long Island, New York.

“There’s plenty to debate about without going into issues involving foundations – terrorism in New York City, rioting in Charlotte”, Dworkin said. Meachum said the event starts at 6 p.m.

Clinton, in contrast, has spent most of this week with close aides at her Dutch colonial home in Chappaqua, a hamlet north of NY city.

Ahead of the debate, Clinton has undergone extensive preparations working to portray herself as the candidate with experience, also releasing new campaign ads attacking Trump.

The analysts have said that the two candidates were taking vastly different approaches and their divergent strategies revealed how the two and their campaigns see the race, their strengths and their opponents’ weaknesses.

Reines has worked for Clinton since 2002, serving as a senior communications adviser for her when she was secretary of state.

“When Mrs. Clinton was sworn in as a senator from NY in 2001, Republican leaders warned their caucus not to do anything that might make her look good”, the editorial says.

Trump’s campaign does not want to fill his head with facts and figures, but instead, they want him to practice staying focused on bigger themes, such as jobs, terrorism, protecting the homeland and closing borders, rather than picking fights on side issues.

Although he has no formal or public role in her current campaign, it is known that Clinton still consults with him behind the scenes. The most recent individual polls put her advantage at 3 percentage points. On Thursday, the Trump campaign accepted the resignation of an OH volunteer, Mahoning County chair Kathy Miller, who told the Guardian newspaper, “I don’t think there was any racism until Obama got elected”.

He was widely criticized for saying Fox News host Megyn Kelly had “blood coming out of her wherever”, a comment many interpreted as referring to her menstruating, although he insisted that was not what he meant. “We were very conscious, me and my producers, that with the first woman candidate with a real shot of going to the White House, we didn’t want to have a Lazio moment”.

Yes, but it might be the only Trump tattoo that we’ve ever seen but it certainly is “huge”. Smith suggested that the task of being a debate moderator is quite hard, as members of a party typically dislike a moderator that is tough on their candidate.

Each candidate gets two minutes to respond to the question, and then they can respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.

Moderators can extend sections to make sure both candidates get equal speaking time. So what the candidates say and their ability to instill confidence across the airwaves, especially during Monday’s first debate, could be decisive.

The New York Times first reported Reines’ involvement in debate preparations. Seventy-five percent of Republicans plan to watch the debate, compared to 70 percent of Democrats who planned to watch the debate.

Second presidential debate: October 9, Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Clinton aides fear Trump will indeed be judged more for his performance than his grasp of the numerous challenges that pass across a president’s desk.
