Man shot on Michigan Avenue in Loop

Chicago police say they continue to question a man arrested after the shooting on Saturday night near Millennium Park, one of Chicago’s most popular tourist destinations.

Around 7:35 p.m., a 54-year-old man was walking with two women near the intersection of East Monroe Street and South Michigan Avenue when he got into a verbal altercation with another man, according to the Chicago Police Department. Fabbri was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition where he later died.

There was an argument, a fight and then someone fired shots, hitting Fabbri at least twice.
