What’s next for Adrian Peterson and the Vikings?
Peterson hasn’t had his usual success this season, rushing for just 50 yards on 31 carries through the first two games of the season.

“Adrian Peterson had a successful lateral meniscus fix this morning”. He found no additional injuries or issues in or surrounding the knee joint during the procedure, the statement said. The Vikings said the rehabilitation process will begin immediately. Peterson was hurt on Sunday night during the victory over Green Bay, needing assistance off the field after his knee was slightly twisted while being tackled at the end of a 5-yard run.
Peterson has a history of healing fast. Top cornerback Xavier Rhodes, who missed the first two games because of a knee injury, is expected to return to a defense that held Aaron Rodgers to a 70.7 passer rating in a 17-14 win in the first regular-season game at U.S. Bank Stadium. Roger Goodell later suspended Peterson indefinitely, but a U.S. District Court judge overturned the punishment (the National Football League won its appeal this past August). In the meantime, they’ll turn to a trio of backs to fill the void. The Vikings (2-0) have a visit to defending NFC champion Carolina on Sunday, with Jerick McKinnon set to take Peterson’s place as the featured running back.
Hillman was a part of the Denver Broncos 2015 Super Bowl team.
“You look at how quickly he returned from an ACL, but I don’t think it will be any quicker than three to four months, ” said Ochiai, an orthopedic surgeon who has performed surgeries on pro athletes with meniscus tears.
The Vikings denied that Peterson’s LCL is torn and Peterson texted ESPN’s Josina Anderson back saying, “no torn LCL”. It was his best season ever — he recorded career highs in rushing (2,097 yards) and yards per game (131) — and it ended with him taking home the MVP trophy.
Hoyer played for the Houston Texans during a playoff run last season. Peterson would be entering his 11th season and facing questions about his productivity.
WASHINGTON: Wide receiver DeSean Jackson has knee and ankle injuries that could keep him out of Sunday’s game against the Giants. Garoppolo was again a limited participant in today’s practice as he continues to recover from a right shoulder injury suffered late the first half of last Sunday’s win over the Dolphins.
The team also put left tackle Matt Kalil on injured reserve as he will have hip surgery. The NFL season ends with Super Bowl LI in Houston on February 5.

“Obviously, it’s hard to replace a running back like Adrian Peterson”, Bradford said, per NFL.com. Even with the big clutch time interception, there is room for improvement as the season goes on, not only for Waynes but both teams as well.
