Check out this leaked image of Google’s rumored new Pixel smartphone, obtained by VentureBeat. The hybrid OS would purportedly bring Android to desktop and laptops, something that Google had been working on for a couple of years at the time. Bison will likely run Andromeda, a combination of Chrome OS, which we’ve seen in Chromebooks, and Android. The phone you see up there, that’s what Google will launch on Oct 4.

The updates about the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 phones are getting more and more popular on the web as the launch date draws near. The company is also preparing to release its Android-powered VR platform this fall. But that’s not everything Google is announcing in early October.

The company has long-been promising a combination of its two operating systems, and is expected to reveal more about the project at the Pixel and Pixel XL launch event next week. Google Pixel launcher replaces the search bar with a search icon and adds a static timeline to the right. The report backs up another from Android Police today that says a convertible notebook is on the way.

Rumours and leaked related to the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones started late but appeared in frequent succession.

Despite that these renders might turn out to be true as the new Pixel phones codenamed Marlin and Sailfish might end up looking like this.

In its current form, the Pixel 3 features a 12.3-inch display and a super-slim 10mm frame. Reports have suggested it to be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 or 821.

Bison is also expected to have 32GB or 128GB of internal storage, and 8GB or 16GB of RAM. The device will get an 8MP front camera. For its display, it is expected to sport a 2,560 x 1,440 screen resolution. Both new devices will reportedly feature Andromeda, a new Google operating system that melds the features of Android and Chrome.
