LeBron supports Kapernick but will stand during anthem
LeBron James doesn’t mince words when it comes to the threat of police violence against the black community. Like many Americans, he’s anxious for change. Despite the pressure of striving for that goal, James doesn’t see it as any different than the average person working their way up a company ladder. “If they don’t like the country, they don’t like our flag, get the hell out, that’s what I think”.

Cleveland Cavaliers talisman James has spoken out on similar social issues in the past, but will stop short of taking Kaepernick’s approach.
James referred specifically to the wave of sports protests started by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
“I think it’s a bad thing, and you know, maybe he should find a country that works better for him”, the billionaire businessman told the Dori Monson Show, a conservative afternoon talk-radio program in the Seattle area.
“For me it’s not about one single gesture”, said Anthony, who won a third Olympic gold medal this summer with Team USA.
“I’m all in favor of anyone, athlete or non-athlete, being able to express what they believe in in a peaceful manner”, James said. It’s just tough being a parent right now when you have a pre-teen.
James went on to say that he feels the “negative attention” Kaepernick has gotten is undeserved.
But James added that he plans to stand for the Anthem this season.
The player’s comments come against a backdrop of looting, unrest, and protests that have gripped Charlotte, North Carolina, since last week’s shooting of 43-year-old Keith Scoot. “We just want the conversation to continue to be, ‘Who are our leaders?”
He admitted that finding the flawless answers to the complex situation will not be easy.
We just want the conversation to continue, to keep going.
The 31-year-old superstar takes personal pride in raising awareness among his peers on social causes, understanding the power of his fame.

James’ eldest child, LeBron James Jr. Other people not being penalized for their actions is pretty ridiculous to me. “He didn’t ask anyone else to join him”. There are a lot of guys out there who might just do it because a lot of people are doing it, but Colin’s actually out there. The president explained that allowing Kaepernick to protest was “part of what makes this country special” and called it an important symbol of free speech.
