Knight’s TD run in double OT gives No. 8 A&M win
The conference would like it to be played, but that would probably mean buying out LSU’s November 19th game against South Alabama-and reimbursing LSU for the lost revenue from a home game. Both the Aggies and the Tennessee Volunteers met on the gridiron to decide who would face Alabama with one loss on their record. Crimson Tide freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 13 of 17 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for two more scores for Alabama (6-0, 3-0), which won its 18th consecutive game. The Vols played in another wild, nail-biter, but this time lost, by a score of 45-38 in overtime.

Texas A&M’s offense took the field first in the second overtime, and on its second play, quarterback Trevor Knight laced a 24-yard pass to a diving Christian Kirk at the one-yard line.
Well, if America thought that it was luck Tennessee was living on luck, they officially ran out on Saturday against Texas A&M in College Station.
And just like that, Tennessee’s miracle ran out of gas.
Series history: Tennessee leads 2-0, with victories in the 1957 Gator Bowl and the 2005 Cotton Bowl.
In the Buffaloes’ first game as a ranked team since November 7, 2005, receiver Bryce Bobo threw a 67-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter and caught a tying TD pass with 10:20 to play.
Overtime. The Volunteers get the ball first. In rushing, Alvin Kamara ran for 62 yards in 16 carries while Jalen Hurd added 42 yards in 10 carries. Kamara had 26 yards and a touchdown. Vanderbilt fell short in its quest to give Coach Derek Mason his first conference road win. Texas A&M forced three turnovers in the opening quarter, two leading to touchdowns and another potentially saving one.Knight had a hand in all three scores.
On the ensuing possession, Vols’ quarterback Josh Dobbs led Tennessee down the field and into the end zone in just a minute and 15 seconds to get within a touchdown. As he was finally going down, Watts ripped the ball out of Kamara’s arms.
Fumble recoveries usually even out over time, and entering Saturday, Tennessee had been incredibly lucky.
It was 21-7 at the half.
Knight finished the game with 239 yards passing, two touchdowns and two interceptions with another 110 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
They made so many mistakes that Tennessee coach Butch Jones threw in an extra one.
Texas A&M safety Armani Watts made a game-ending interception in double-overtime Saturday to complete the Aggies’ marathon 45-38 win over Tennessee. He ran for two more TDs.
Texas A&M’s victories might not have all been so dramatic, but the Aggies have been convincing.
SEC football rankings heading into Week 7 of the 2016 season.
Actually, seven proved to be too many, especially when the Vols coughed up three of them inside the Aggie 10: two during regulation and the game-ending pick.
Seminoles running back Dalvin Cook carried the ball 29 times for 140 yards and three touchdowns against North Carolina. Yet, the Vols battle back each and every time, either tying or taking a lead in all games. Although it came in a loss, Foreman’s play was characteristic of Tennessee’s fighting spirt this season.
Vols defensive tackle Danny O’Brien suffered an injury at the 11:44 mark in the fourth quarter and was taken off the field on a stretcher.
