Creepy clown sightings sweeping United States hit Victoria

With the weird clown trend creeping people out across the nation and here in CT, state police are issuing a warning about the consequences of actions perceived to be threatening.

And two suburban school districts on Long Island recently beefed up security after alerting police of clown reports.

The nature of the threats was not revealed, and officials have not disclosed how many phone calls and social media posts they’ve received about such threats.

Reports of frightening clown sightings began in late August in Greenville, South Carolina, when police there investigated rumors of clowns attempting to lure children into the woods, according to CNN. All threats and acts of violence will be taken seriously by our department.

In most cases it’s all a hoax.

Pasadena Police Department said they are aware of the Instagram account and reference to Pasadena.

In New Jersey on Wednesday, a 15-year-old was charged with posting a threat aimed at a school in Hamilton.

“We would hope not”, she said. Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre called behavior fear-inducing and “simply despicable”, according to WDSU.
