A picture also appeared online of a man dressed as Batman appearing to chase a “killer clown”, although it is not clear if it is staged or not.

The so-called killer clown craze appears to have been inspired by pranks in SC, where police received reports of people dresing as clowns in various locations.

According to the university, the suspect in the October 3 incident grabbed the victim outside of the Bobcat Village apartments, with the victim pulling away and leaving the scene. And are you terrified of clowns, or are you one of those people who just doesn’t understand the whole “scared of clowns” thing? The suspect was wearing a green wig and had his/her face painted white with black around the eyes.

After that, police reported a cluster of four creepy clown sightings on Friday and Saturday nights in in the Meyers Road and Christopher Drive area, in Cambridge’s south-end.

Students are not permitted to wear clown costumes, masks, or makeup to any to school or any school events.

Police in CT dealt with a similar social media threat targeting several schools in the New Haven area.

Armed police have arrested a man wearing a clown mask and brandishing a fake gun as the “killer clown” craze continues.

In Canada, police in Cape Breton and Bowmanville, Halifax, Gatineau, NovaScotia, Ontario, Ottawa, Quebec and Toronto have all investigated incidents involving creepy clowns, according to the BBC.

The force said it had received 23 reports of “creepy clowns” incidents in the past 24 hours alone.

The “killer clown” craze that began in the United States has gone global, with incidents reported in the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.

“Halloween is approaching and we have an upcoming spirit week, so I want to take a moment to be very clear about this”.

“Like all other agencies, we prioritize calls, but each one of them is responded to and dealt with appropriately by APD”, said Smith. He said, “These archetypes are in our culture; they are not going away”.

He said: “It’s up to us who are professional and semi-professional clowns to do what we do and keep making children and adults smile, not scaring them”.

Police said the investigation is active, but they don’t believe there is any further public safety concern over the incident.

They are seen at children’s parties and at the circus, but now a clown craze sweeping the West Midlands is proving no laughing matter. The clown then made threats. “But any suspicious behavior, certainly give us a call”.
