Obama pointed to Trump’s claims that the election was “rigged” against him.
“Maybe you can get me a note”. But last night, he was in Columbus where he spoke to Democrats attending the annual state party dinner.
But during a midday speech in Florida that was streamed online, Trump criticized the president, saying Obama has “led a very divided nation” during his eight years in office.
Ms Obama joined the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton in September.
US President Barack Obama warned America that “democracy itself” is on the ballot in November’s presidential election, as White House concern grows about the lasting impact of Republican Donald Trump’s scorched-earth campaign.
Democrats at the October 13 dinner, however, said Trump was not fit to be president.
The president said the United States has fought against those things. Sherrod Brown, D-Cleveland.
He said Trump is not qualified to be President. “Hillary Clinton’s going to win because she has answers for the problems in this state….”
Trump said a few days ago that his shackles were off as House Speaker Paul Ryan said he had finally had enough of his party’s nominee.
Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), who is up for reelection this year and holds a comfortable lead over Strickland, has spent almost two years developing an extensive grassroots operation in the state.
“Apparently in a speech yesterday he started talking about ‘global elites, ‘ that there was a conspiracy of ‘global elites, ‘ ” Obama continued.
Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s staunchest supporter, introduced the republican presidential nominee, and within minutes, Trump was on to policy.
With an eye on winning back control of Congress, Mr Obama blamed Republicans writ large for backing a candidate who “proves himself unfit and unqualified” for the presidency “every time he talks”. “In fact, I’m more forgiving of the people who actually believe it than the people who know better and stood silently by out of political expediency”. “… They stood by while this happened”.
Obama said “all that bile, all that exaggeration” from Republicans had bubbled up over the years and that Trump, just like one of his skyscrapers, had “just slapped his name on it and took credit for it”. “We’ve got to show our kids the values that we want to pass onto them”, he said.
The president also said Democratic nominee Ms Clinton would be more qualified than any other president ever elected.
