Browns place safety Jordan Poyer on injured reserve

The Browns don’t play again until October 23, so don’t panic yet, but Terrelle Pryor has a hamstring injury.

Pryor is a free agent after this season.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: Pryor is far and away the most heavily targeted member of the Cleveland passing game, so his absence would open up plenty of opportunity.

The Cleveland Browns head home still looking for their first victory this season. They are recovering onside kicks at a 20 percent rate.

The rookie, knocked out of last week’s 33-13 loss to New England with an injured chest, threw 41 passes for a career-high 336 yards and two TDs.

Despite the loss, Kessler was impressive in his fourth consecutive start. “It is something we have to get better at still, but to watch our quarterback play under duress and still make plays, that is part of playing in the National Football League”, Jackson said. He completed three, third down passes to WR Kendall Wright on the touchdown drive, including the third time for 13 yards on third-and-8 on DB Tramon Williams. The Titans were able to throw deep throughout the game as the receivers beat the Browns.

Sack Men: DL Danny Shelton and rookie OLB Emmanuel Ogbah had the only two sacks for the Browns. For Shelton, it marks the progress that he has made. As I said after the game, that is an area that I have to get fixed, and I will. He chipped in another five tackles and now ranks sixth on the team in tackles.

No Run: The Browns had their second-straight rough rushing game.

After the hit occurred, the Titans went three-and-out. As long as the defense struggles to corral the QB and the secondary struggles, then the Browns will likely continue to lose. Please see our terms of service for more information. Although it may be weird to think of the Titans as the favorite, they have earned it.

Poyer remained on the ground for several minutes before walking to the sideline.

“It’s not about home, two in a row, the fans, the Browns have beaten us twice”, Mularkey said. That should’ve taken the mystery out of the game, but it didn’t. Assuming this team is going to finish 0-16 and it is all Hue Jackson’s fault is just not logical at this point in time.

I have been covering the Browns since 1981.

“When I look back at the call, we had a great opportunity to make it”, Jackson said. And most importantly, the plan for the first pick is still intact.

The Browns took possession at their 40 but wasted the takeaway. ‘Go win the game.’ But Coach Jackson probably would have kicked it. He couldn’t wait to get back to work to find out what exactly went wrong. This is the Browns, so that is not a guarantee, but if the team has three years of bad starts with this new plan in place, something needs to be changed.
