Dallas Cowboys: Dak or Romo, who should start?

Jones, who said earlier this month that Tony Romo is the Cowboys’ “No. 1 quarterback”, is now not willing to say whether Romo will start when he is cleared to return.

Their production, stellar – definitely earning them some deserved rest before their division rival Philadelphia comes to Arlington and AT&T Stadium next Sunday night.

After Sunday’s win against the Packers, rookie quarterback Dak Prescott has the Cowboys at 5-1 and has launched National Football League fans into a great debate over whether Tony Romo or Prescott should start once Romo is healthy.

That’s why the trade rumors swirling around Romo, who is 36, may hold some truth and may be a smart move for the Cowboys. Timing may have been off on a couple other throws.”I felt my movement was good tonight”, Rodgers said. Our Buffalo Wild Wings got with our Boys & Girls Club here in Grand Prairie, Texas and went and renovated a field for them and did some things that were great. An offseason deal after June 1 wouldn’t be as financially painful, but it’d be smart to deal Romo to an on-the-cusp Super Bowl contender like quarterback-needy Denver or going-nowhere teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears or New York Jets. With his future as a starter this season in question, Prescott has blocked out the noise and shown he is capable of being a cornerstone piece for years to come. During a radio appearance Tuesday, Jones was asked if Romo deserves his job back based on his reputation alone and gave an interesting answer. Oddsmakers wouldn’t blame them.

I half-wonder if backup Mark Sanchez could start for Dallas without much dropoff.

“He’s just an awesome individual”, said McGee.

As for the Browns game the following week, that one will likely be a big tell as to what the Cowboys plan to do. He’s started 127 games and has gone 78-49 in those games.

Romo’s effectiveness seems to be an overlooked part of the equation.

It’s unclear when Romo will be healthy enough to even be considered. But arguably the two most memorable covers were also losses.

The Cowboys ran the ball 508 times in 2014, and yet Dez still found a way to score a career high 16 touchdowns. Being replaced by a rookie could be the latest-and potentially last-incident. I’m going to take advantage of it.

Stephen Jones spoke on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas about Romo’s health.

The only reason Tom Brady took Drew Bledsoe’s job is because coach Bill Belichick viewed Brady as a guy who could be a long-time starter once he had an opportunity to play.
