Australian media named the victims as Kate Goodchild, her brother Luke Dorsett and his partner Roozi Araghi. He said the adults became caught in the ride’s conveyor-belt machinery.

How the Dreamworld accident unfolded.

“They were assessed by Queensland Ambulance personnel and had all sustained injuries that were incompatible with living”, he said.

Dreamworld said it had reached out through police to offer its “unwavering support” to the families affected.

Two children had a “miracle” survival when a raft flipped at an Australian theme park killing four adults, police said Wednesday (Oct 26), as claims emerged that safety concerns had been raised at Dreamworld past year.

“Based on the Merlin experience, we expect Dreamworld attendance to be adversely impacted over the upcoming peak Christmas trading period, and beyond, as a result of negative press commentary”, the Citi report says.

On Wednesday Dreamworld said it was “fully compliant” in terms of safety certifications at the time of the tragic accident that killed four.

The Australian Workers’ Union, which represents Dreamworld staff, has said it took safety concerns to Ardent as far back as April 2015, and even submitted right-to-information requests with the division of Workplace Health and Safety.

Went to go on the tower of terror, nearly to the top and we hear.

“We were standing on the bridge watching and the water had stopped. We were in tears ourselves and she was just hysterical”.

“Some were coming out by themselves, some were coming out on their own”.

“I understand the intense interest in this catastrophic event and appreciate there are many questions to be answered”.

When pushed, Ms Thomas angrily told media: “I am not getting paid $1 million” and asked for the line of questioning to be moved on.

Visitors to the theme park, 48 km (30 miles) south of Brisbane, said they had seen repairs to the ride before the accident, but a Dreamworld spokeswoman told Reuters she was unable to confirm those accounts.

It’s unclear what caused the deadly accident on Tuesday.

“Those families deserve a full investigation, with findings based on facts and not on the wide-ranging speculation now occurring amongst many commentators”, chairman Patrick Murphy said in a statement.

ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr has called the event tragic and stressed the importance of respecting the family and friends “attempting to process an unimaginable loss”.

“Our immediate focus is on the families, friends and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives”, he said.

Mr Codd stressed that a thorough investigation was under way. She travelled to the Gold Coast yesterday, but failed to address the disaster. “We tried to comfort her, but she was so emotional it was hard”.
