With Anderson questionable for the remainder of the season, how will the Broncos’ run game hold up for the remainder of the year?

Denver’s offense broke out for 347 total yards with the running game producing 190 as the Broncos dominated the Texans 27-9 on Monday. He came back into the game despite the injury, rushing for 107 yards and a touchdown. Kubiak is back at the helm for the Broncos and will devise a game plan to ensure Booker will succeed.

They left the stadium feeling really good about their new 1-2 punch in the backfield, but Anderson showed up sore Tuesday.

Roethlisberger is recovering from knee surgery and was dressed in street clothes during the exchange. “Kapri changed himself, in my opinion, just watching him work and watching him work at the game”, head coach Gary Kubiak stated on Thursday. “He played with it”.

The injury occurred early in the Monday night tilt and it caused him to leave the game for a short time.

Anderson was named the Broncos’ offensive MVP of the game but awoke the next morning in discomfort. The pressure aspect will be key, as the Chargers’ pass rush has really come to life of late. “So we’re trying to evaluate exactly where he’s at”.

Week 8 for the Broncos is going to be a tough game against the division foes in the San Diego Chargers, a rematch of the loss the Broncos took 2 weeks ago in San Diego.

“It’s kind of up to Book, how much can he handle, what kind of load can he handle? I don’t know. We’ll see”. Jeff has had a good week, so we’ll see.

San Diego coach Mike McCoy said the Chargers know better than to automatically assume a repeat of their first encounter with Denver. Booker had 46 yards on five carries in last meeting and 83 yards and first career TD on 17 carries vs. Houston.

With Anderson out and relative inexperience replacing him, more attention will be placed on quarterback Trevor Siemian under center. “Hopefully we’re in those types of games where we could stay committed to the run and what we like to get going”. They will also have Kapri Bibbs on standby in case something happens to Booker. This time, the Broncos got greenhorn A.J. Derby from the Patriots. Both cornerback Aqib Talib (lower back) and linebacker Brandon Marshall (hamstring) did not practice this week, but Kubiak has said they would be able to play without it, if they’re healthy enough to do so.

In Week 6, the Broncos concerned themselves with Chargers edge rusher Melvin Gordon. Playing behind Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett, Derby had no catches this season.

Denver’s offense is designed for two running backs, Anderson and Booker. “Usually he said when people feel that, they are out”.
