A new slate of state-based polls released Wednesday shows Hillary Clinton up 3 points in North Carolina, while Donald Trump has a 5-point edge in the state of Ohio.

Hillary Clinton is not the only one playing defense after the FBI’s disclosure last week of additional emails relevant to its probe of her use of a private email server. Clinton may still win the election despite the cloud of an FBI investigation hanging over her head.
“Hillary Clinton, having been in the arena for 30 years, oftentimes gets knocked around, and people say insane stuff about her, and when she makes a mistake – an honest mistake – it ends up being blown up as if it’s just some insane thing”, Obama said.

Clinton’s renewed focus on Trump’s demeaning comments on women seemed aimed in part at baiting a response from the notoriously thin-skinned Republican. In this most freaky of elections, both Trump and Clinton have been beset by controversy after controversy. These two candidates seem to have fixed images and fixed levels of support among most of the voting public.
Mr Trump is estimated to have spent $25 million trying to turn these blue states red, and hoping to persuade early voters to change their ballots. Polling will happen in all 50 states on the same day. FBI Director Comey was damned if he did and damned if he didn’t.

The FBI inquiry reviewed allegations that Trump or his associates might have violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act or engaged in contacts or commerce with people in Russian Federation who are subject to USA or worldwide financial sanctions. Clinton was given a negative 44-54 percent favorability rating, while Trump received a negative 40-57 percent favorability.
While Trump has devoted perhaps his most valuable resource – his time – to Florida, Clinton has built a powerful ground game, backed by a dominant media presence that dwarfs her opponent’s. Trump said earlier this year that Judge Gonzalo Curiel’s Mexican roots meant he had a conflict of interest in the case given his proposal to build a wall along the U.S. Southern border. Spencer says his first presidential vote will be for Trump. FireEye said so far it had found no emails being sent back and forth or any other link.
“When I think about what we now know about Donald Trump and what he’s been doing for 30 years, he sure has spent a lot of time demeaning, degrading, insulting and assaulting women”, Clinton said. For the first time since the tracking poll began, likely voters consider Trump more trustworthy than Clinton. Comey said in July that the investigation was complete and that he would recommend to prosecutors that no charges be brought. He also mentioned the FBI’s revived investigation into Clinton’s email practices at the State Department. With just one week until Election Day, polls are tightening as her campaign continues to fight confusion about the FBI’s investigation of e-mails found on a computer belonging to the estranged husband of aide Huma Abedin.
And there are some implications for Clinton in this post-Comey letter poll. However, a reliable election model today predicted a win for Clinton in the November 8 presidential elections.
