Since these are portable devices, the 16 hours of battery life Microsoft is promising is a great place to start. The Surface Dial is a radial surface input device that is like a mouse wheel. Microsoft Windows and Devices chief Terry Myerson wasn’t joking when he said, “Everything we’re doing here, we’re actively working with partners on their own expression of the idea”. For instance, while they promote how it uses “Dell Precision workstation performance”, they don’t explicitly state that it is a PC itself. Although the crowd of press junkies in the room was small, the internet buzz over the game changing Surface Studio was bigly as Donald Trump would say.
The company is expected to encounter a tough competition as there would also be next-generation devices coming from other manufacturers that are set to be released on the same timeframe.
Unlike Microsoft’s Surface Studio-which comes with a hinged display, keyboard, and mouse-the Dell device includes two screens: one vertical monitor and one horizontal worktop created to interface with various systems. Maybe Dell can tackle things with some sane pricing here.

Anyway, the real news is that this release has people saying that “Microsoft is now a braver, more innovative company than Apple”.
