Obama honors NBA champs at White House

WASHINGTON (AP) — You learn a lot about people when they’re down, President Barack Obama declared Thursday, and he wasn’t talking about an election.

“How do I even feel confident sending her on play dates knowing the kids family voted for the racist, sexist person an (sic) I don’t know how they will treat her when she’s gone”.

Donald Trump won the US presidency Tuesday night. Trump said the contract “begins with restoring honesty and accountability, and bringing change to Washington”. And many in the sports world havent been shy about expressing their disappointment over Trumps election.

“Please know that this isn’t the end, it’s just a very challenging obstacle that we will overcome!” he said.

President Barack Obama contacted Republican Donald Trump early on Wednesday morning, promising in the conversation to ensure a smooth transition of power. I have no idea what kind of president hell be because he hasnt said anything about what hes going to do.

And speaking of Shump, look how amazed he was to find out that the podium was movable at the White House.

The two men’s relaxed, cordial demeanour in front of the cameras was in stark contrast to the months of harsh rhetoric during the campaign.

President Obama, a Chicago sports fan, welcomed the Cavs to the White House today. “You saw it in those last three games”, the president said.

During the presidential campaign, Trump blocked the media from travel with him, blacklisted certain journalists and outlets for critical coverage, and repeatedly attacked the media for being “dishonest” and untrustworthy.

The Senate’s Mitch McConnell also made clear there is no chance of the 12-country Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal passing during the lame-duck Congress this fall. His campaign later blamed a technical problem and the statements were returned to the website.

While Trump noted that he and Obama had never met before, their political histories will forever be linked.

The Doral tournament, somewhat ironically, is headed to Mexico – the country that Trump wants divided from the U.S.by a wall to combat illegal immigration. Steven Mnuchin, a former Goldman Sachs executive who is now finance chairman to Trump’s campaign, will be expected to be named Treasury secretary.

Trump’s camp also showed signs it was beginning building a government, with names for top Cabinet positions being leaked.

But political reporters, already fearful of Trump’s treatment of the press after his fierce anti-media rhetoric during the campaign, grew increasingly anxious on Thursday after Trump’s team left the press pool behind.

“Right now, we have a president in office who is terrific”, Rivers said. Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a fierce rival of Trump’s from the primary, attended the ceremony.
