Trump made his statements in a CBS “60 Minutes” interview Sunday, during which he also discussed his position on Obamacare and Hillary Clinton.
Help us report on the impact of Trump’s proposed immigration policies by completing the short form below. The non-partisan think tank estimates there are only about 820,000 undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. with a criminal record-well short of Trump’s stated three million figure. “…we’re getting them out of the country, they’re here illegally”, he said.
As for immigrants without criminal records who are residing in the USA illegally, many of whom are likely “terrific people”, Trump said he will make a future determination on that once the border is secure. He is planning to put fences around some parts of the border, and in other parts, a wall is what needed. “I would say there was more than one thing, there were three things, it was healthcare, there was immigration and there was a major tax bill lowering taxes in this country”. “I found him to be terrific, I found him to be very smart, very nice, great sense of humour”.
“We’ve been trying to set up a call” since Trump was elected, the PM told Breakfast.
“You know, a lot of brothers and parents, they are US citizens but the real problem is those other family”, Pineda said. And I want to get it done for the people. They live with these people.
Trump is now seeking to shatter President Obama’s deportation mark early in his administration.
“Nobody knows what to expect”, said Uriel Quesada is the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Loyola University.
10News has been coming to Sun City Center – a Hillsborough County Republican stronghold (and home of golf carts) – since before the election began talking to President-elect Donald Trump supporters.
It isn’t clear where Trump came up with those numbers.
Immigrants in United States illegally: about 11 million. “It’s law. It was settled in the Supreme Court”. “I think that I would rather not comment on that yet”.
Trump talked to Lesley Stahl about healing the bitter divide between Americans.
