Mazda CX-5: Popularity May Bring Turbos

This, according to Mazda, “represents the instant that energy becomes motion, such as the muscular beauty as an animal pounces or a human leaps into action”. What people did not expect however is that it would have a look that would make it like a smaller version of the CX-9 as stated in a report from Autoblog. The timing is certainly interesting, as VW is reeling from its own diesel scandal, so other automakers including Mazda are pouncing to gobble up that diesel market. The team will race the new Riley Mk.

Mazda has teased about it before and the rumours all suggest it to be true.

While the overall profile of the mid-size SUV is similar to its predecssor, the new CX-5 does feature some major design changes.

The possibility of Mazda bringing its diesel engines to the United States is a frustrating subject.

It won’t be long until you see it on the track, as the automobile will debut at the 2017 Rolex 24 at Daytona, in late January.

We look forward to learning what that means and how it functions in practice. “And although its design allotment was a daunting task, I think we created even something more special here that will compete with the very best”, said Julien Montousse, Mazda-North America director of design during the vehicle’s unveiling at a Hollywood studio.

The RT24-P is named after Mazda’s Road To 24 development program that provides scholarships for talented drivers to transition from grassroots to professional motorsports. The “P” signifies Prototype. These changes have resulted in a 97 percent reduction in the sulfur in diesel fuel that enables the selective catalytic reduction system (SCR), like that in the SKYACTIV-D, to achieve more than 98 percent reductions in particulate matter and NOx emissions. For 2017, Mazda has sought to improve upon those strengths.

The Mazda CX-5 has always been a handsome crossover that was pretty awesome for coming with a manual option.

Diesel models accounted for about a third of Mazda cars sold in Japan and Europe in the first nine months of the year, slightly down from the same period in 2015. Operations in Mexico are managed by Mazda Motor de Mexico in Mexico City.
