How American Horror Story Connected the Seasons
I was running errands, and I just had to run to the grocery stop and grab some sauce real fast. In the end, Flora was the only survivor of Season 6. Yes, it was bloody and gory, but it was deeper than that. Roanoke’s underlying message eventually drifts into “humans are the worst monsters” territory, a classic horror trope that’s something American Horror Story has explored before.

But anyway, let’s move on, because it’s the finale!
It’s the season six finale of American Horror Story, and Roanoke has earned a place of honor among the show’s longtime fans. FX debuted dozens of different teaser clips for the new season of AHS, but only one was the real promo; The others were create to purposefully mislead fans and create suspense for when Roanoke did premiere.
The one positive? Lee has found Flora. In that scene, she mentioned that she had written two books.
We met the Polk family, the Piggy Man, and Edward. Considering all the twists and turns Murphy has thrown at us so far, there’s not telling who Bomer will end up playing. Flora wants to burn the house down to help her friend Priscilla and stay at the house to protect her from The Butcher and co.
“I haven’t been this freaked out since were in that asylum!”. “You have to be alert every second of the way – and with Miss Paulson, every freaking second of the way, because she’ll call you on it if she feels like you’re not being genuine in the moment”. This plot coincides with the events in the season 2 finale, where Winters was also interviewed about her upcoming book. Is Lee lying or telling the truth? The news outlets interview Lana, who sits at home resting from her pistol-whipping in a luxurious bed. Instead, he kills a bunch of the show’s production staff, pistol whips Lana, and is shot by a security guard before he can murder Lee.
Lana Winters skyrocketed to fame after her expose on the horrors at Briarcliff. It seems that Flora Harris had gone missing just a few hours before the interview.
Lana Winters was one of three Sarah Paulson characters this season. two if you count Audrey and TV Shelby as one. There’s gunfire outside, and one of the Polk sons bursts in with an assault rifle he isn’t afraid to use. She made it up in her head, Lee’s resourceful lawyer claims.
Even with fences surrounding the property, a group of paranormal investigators break into the house and set up their cameras ahead of the Blood Moon. Soon the ghosts of the house made their presence known and started offing the group. This sendup of popular ghost hunting shows is SPOT-ON. At the house, Lee is standing at the window with a gun while Flora is drawing a picture of a house in the dust. She’s looking for Flora.
Groan. Haven’t we learned our lesson already?
ANOTHER spoiler alert: she hasn’t. The police have surrounded the house. Now, ghost-girl Priscilla has a mother figure to keep her safe from the Butcher’s harm – and Lee blows up the creepy building once and for all. AHS has never truly been scary, so it usually tries to bring in more flair, more gore, more style, more character.
Roanoke was a weird season. In a cast reunion show we’re presented in retrospect (everyone is dead, after all), a still living Rory (Evan Peters) needs a hug from some woman in the crowd with a sweet ass.
We should find out during the Season 6 finale “Chapter 10”, which is best viewed on television or live online through FX Now. How would you rank it among AHS seasons?
Remember how we said, “Don’t get too attached to them?”
