Wilson Throws, Catches, Leads Seahawks Past Eagles 26-15

Bell recorded nine receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown in their loss to the Cowboys, and while he did lineup at receiver on multiple plays, he still did a ton of work catching passes out of the backfield.

Seattle opened up a 23-7 lead on Baldwin’s 15-yard touchdown pass to Wilson midway through the third quarter.

The defense didn’t help, giving up several big plays in the first half, such as C.J. Prosise’s 72-yard touchdown run and a 35-yard TD pass from Wilson to Jimmy Graham.

Agholor, who didn’t catch any passes on three targets, was introspective after the game about his mental struggle. The Eagles have been solid against opposing quarterbacks overall (though not as much the last 4 weeks, allowing over 17 fantasy points per game), so this is more a statement about Wilson and how he should be starting most weeks if you have him.

Jalen Mills: After making a nice defensive play along the sideline preventing a catch by Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin in the first quarter, Jalen Mills played like a seventh-round rookie. We were coming off of a good win a week ago.

Apart from Dallas, the NFC has been a bit of a muddle for most of the 2016 season, though in recent weeks the Seattle Seahawks have pulled away from the pack to establish themselves as the other likely contender to represent the conference in the Super Bowl.

Then the entire team pushed Jarvis Landry into the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown with just more than four minutes left, capping a 77-yard drive to make it 10-7.

That’s 859 yards in the last two games for Seattle, just as Wilson is as healthy as he’s been since the first half of the opening game. Smallwood had 13 carries for 48 yards and caught another four passes for 31 yards.

Seattle had the services of running back Thomas Rawls for the first time since he suffered a hairline fracture of his right shin in Week 2. The Eagles defense did that in the second quarter, on its way to surrendering an average of seven yards per play to Russell Wilson and the Seahawks offense.

And because he wasn’t properly lined up – he said after the game that he thought he was but should’ve checked with the official – the play was negated by an illegal formation penalty, which led to a punt and a Seattle field goal on the ensuing drive.

“I was talking to him saying, ‘We can switch jobs if you want”. The end result was Philly’s first double-digit loss of the season. The two main backs this season – Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles – only combined for 46 of those yards.

Seahawks: Seattle travels east for the third time in five games heading to Tampa Bay next Sunday.
