“The Walking Dead” returns next Sunday at 9:00 ET/9:00 CT on AMC.

Actresses Christian Serratos, Danai Gurira, Lauren Cohan, Melissa McBride, Alanna Masterson and Sonequa Martin attend AMC presents “Talking Dead Live” for the premiere of “The Walking Dead” at Hollywood Forever on October 23, 2016 in Hollywood, California. It’s been a bit of a slog. This is certainly what we hope. At first it appeared as a cover for who Negan was since another claimed to be Negan only to be shot by Rick. Nope, not at all.
At Glenn’s grave, Maggie finds Enid waiting with her balloon tribute. While Alexandria has faked her death, Maggie officially joined the Hilltop Colony on The Walking Dead, along with Sasha. Sasha, being the badass woman she’s becoming, immediately jumps into action and starts working to turn off the music and kill the walkers.
Hilltop’s leader, Gregory, disrupts this peaceful moment as he rants that Maggie and her people promised to rid his community of its Negan problem but made it worse instead.
Adjustment from the comics serves Enid’s character to take up the storyline of Sophia who, in the comics, gets taken in by Maggie after losing her mother Carol who committed suicide.
Earlier in the episode, the Saviors wreak havoc in the Hilltop and attract a bunch of zombies. THE WALKING DEAD may be the most watched cable television show now, but the bigger they are, the harder they fall. They work as a means to reinvigorate Maggie and Sasha, but not as individuals. She then hops into a tractor and legitimately steam-rolls a slew of walkers.
As she so eloquently put it to Gregory (Xander Berkeley), the Hilltop leader, after punching him in the face: “This is our home now, so you’ll have to call me by name”. Hopefully she can bring the spark back into Rick as well. And hey, speaking of that thorn in our side.
But what do you think? He resolves to at least let them stay the night because, as he claims, “I’m a good guy” – which, you might recall, is something Negan typically says before doing something heinous. As they eat, both thought about what has been transpiring about them on the road. I feel like I’m stuck in the middle of an apocalyptic teen rom-com. It looks like Enid is officially family now as Maggie hands over the family heirloom watch to her. Who here is shipping Ezekiel and Carol to get through the storm?

Shortly after Rick and Michonne leave, Carl discovers that Enid is leaving Alexandria to go see Maggie. Spoilers again for anyone who is not keeping up to date, but in the latest episode, Carl was headed off in a truck with Jesus to Negan’s location, which would tend to be a little life-threatening.
