In all, an estimated 137.4 million consumers plan to or are considering shopping during the holiday weekend, according to the annual survey released by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics.

The National Retail Federation, the nation’s largest retail group, expects holiday sales to rise 3.6 percent for November and December, better than the 3 percent growth seen for those months previous year. Often the retailer has already done the work to match the lowest price out there.
“We have around 50 top bargains and have been promoting around 300 heavily discounted deals too”. They had typically had sales broadly in line with 2015, but were optimistic that the fourth quarter would beat previous year.
