JCPenney is kicking off its Black Friday sales at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Last year, discounts on popular products deepened by 30 to 40 percent from Black Friday prices as Christmas got closer, according to Market Track data.
Whether you’re fighting the crowds for the best deals on holiday gifts, or drinking wine on the couch and finally hitting “Purchase” on your online shopping cart, the many post-Thanksgiving sales in our future are the real things to be grateful for after the holiday.
Even when you browse to legitimate sites offering special deals, you’ll often bump into what the marketing community calls a “gate”.
At Forster Square Retail Park major retailers such as Argos, Boots, and Currys PC World are expected to be offering Black Friday bargains.
Two of the strongest days of the year for USA equity markets are the day before and the day after Thanksgiving.
“All of the fundamentals are in a good place, giving strength to consumers and leading us to believe that this will be a very positive holiday season”, NRF president and CEO Matthew Shay said. As Black Friday has become a holiday on its own because people tend to shop just for the sake of discounts, more and more stores are extending their promotion to avoid the Black Friday madness. You can grab some of the top Black Friday deals online right now, though. They used to get up early and wait in line on Black Friday for doors to open, but since stores started pushing hours earlier – some even opening Thanksgiving afternoon and evening, Tamura and her group has started shopping at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving night after eating and spending time with their families. If you want to take a half-glass-full viewpoint for big-box retailers being open on Thanksgiving Day, then at least some people will have an excuse for ditching their in-laws.
While these deals are doorbuster deals and can only be found in-store on Black Friday, Vincent recommends doing the majority of Black Friday shopping online. Seasonal studies show that the best day to take seasonal profits in the retail merchandising sector is on Black Friday. However, not all of these deals are what they seem. Though economists worry about the impact of a Donald Trump-instigated trade war, they’re bullish on his proposed tax cuts. If you’re looking to nab some fantastic finds, here are some great resources online to help you plan. Also, it’s always hard to speculate whether all advertised sale prices will be available online.
“It’s to the shoppers’ benefit to do their homework to ensure they are getting the best deal”, Gregorski said. For the first time, it will offer “doorbusters” online starting on Thanksgiving while supplies last. And nobody knows this better than Black Friday shoppers who come home and realize that, amidst the crazed kerfuffle, they’ve made a purchase that will be about as useful as the forgotten spinach salad on Thanksgiving.
In addition, according to RetailNext, Black Friday was neither the top sales day nor the top traffic day of the holiday season a year ago either, when it fell on Friday, Nov. 27. The frustration is intensified when you add hoards of people in your way.
Most Wal-Mart stores are already open 24 hours.
