Thanksgiving: So many reasons for thanks

At least this year, I may get six weeks of Christmas decorations. The atmosphere following the election has been heavy and full of anger and fear.

A few people protest that roses have thistles; I am appreciative that thistles have roses.

This tension, coupled with the stress of schoolwork and deadlines, has been exhausting.

The post concluded: “Having intimate family time is so, so great and I’m thankful that I get to experience it with all of the incredible people in my life”.

The love of food is the most honest in the whole world! So this holiday season I want my message to be that I am over the moon grateful to the community of School City of Mishawaka, we couldn’t have done any of this without you all. It’s about food, family, love. It’s about peeling potatoes in the kitchen while gossiping about the latest news.

I’m thankful when Arkansas coach Brett Bielema losses a football game. I am thankful for my family, my pets, my friends and their families who treat me like their own, my boyfriend, my job, my education and my health.

As Masini points out, there are so many ways to meet people that sometimes it can feel like a miracle when you do find your match. Orange, yellow, burgundy and brown are not my favorite colors to begin with, and to have them decorate my house for 25 percent of the year is just a bit too much for me. One response that comes to mind is that I am grateful for is the continued opportunity to be of service to my community in any way I can. All you have to do is get a notebook.

Do it with me now. So while we’re not about to suggest you cease all political banter – that would be totally un-American – we suggest taking a break from it all and focusing, either personally or with your family and friends, on positive things in our lives. When you see everything you have as a gift, your perspective begins to change, and a odd sensation emerges. Those who are willing to fill food baskets and take them to homes where people are hungry. I believe it truly is the little things in life, like family, friends and good deeds, that we should hold close to our hearts. Dinners on her mother’s side rank high on the “delicious” scale, she said, since family members on that side have backgrounds in restaurants and bakeries, she said. They are all unique and special, and how blessed are you to have them at your table!

On the off chance that the main petition you say in all your years is thank you, it will be sufficient.

Finally, the last thing I am thankful for is my education. When he utters the words, “You are looking live”, you know something big is about to happen… You love. You are loved. Some will take in neighbors or acquaintances who have no place to go and who otherwise would sit alone. We may not enjoy all of our relatives and, at times, we may be upset with our friends. Then she added in the essay, “when I realized that my dad’s departure from our Thanksgiving table was responsible for saving that little girl’s finger, I started to realize what a wonderful gift modern medicine can be”. If you have do that, just be safe, okay? Do not forget to be thankful for everything you have! They are hard, but with a loving God and family I’ve learned that you can smile through even the hardest times.
