Nexus lineup to get update on Dec
When Google’s new Pixel smartphones were launched last month, they were the first Android devices to come running the latest version of the Nougat OS, 7.1.

Avid CyanogenMod and Android Nougat fans are in for a double delight as the industrious custom ROM developers have just released the Android 7.1 update for six more devices with an impending roll out being announced for the Nexus 4. Taking into consideration the time difference, U.S. Nexus and Pixel devices should receive the update December 5.
This does fall in line with previously cited time frames, as well as the Developer Preview 2 Android 7.1.1 release, posted for Nexus hardware earlier this week.
The Android Nougat is gradually being made available to third-party manufacturers such as Samsung and S7 users may get the opportunity to try out the new beta program that has been recently released. Those who have yet to explore the feature may want to check out the app shortcuts, image keyboard support, round icon resources, and others, to see what the latest update can do. From the fourth day to the thirteenth day, the update will be rolled out to 10% users per day.
On day 14, all devices will be eligible for the update.
While most manufacturers haven’t yet begun upgrading their devices to Android 7.0, Google’s newest flagship phones – the Pixel and Pixel XL – are already shipping with Android 7.1 onboard.
Users can update their devices by going to the setting menu and accessing the systems update option in the About section. Individuals with malfunctioning Nexus 5X units should probably get in touch with LG over email before their warranty expires. It allows them to experience new features of Nougat.
The final developer preview includes a near-final build of various system behaviours, in which the user interface alongside numerous bugs are fixed and optimizations across Google apps and the system itself is also there.

The update is Over-The-Air (OTA) and the users of Nexus 6P device will be notified when the update is available for their handset.
