Gary Kubiak says Broncos need to ‘control our emotions’ after heartbreaking loss

Broncos. Chiefs. Two bitter AFC West rivals battling in Denver on Sunday night in primetime, jockeying for playoff position. (Siemian) played extremely well. He wanted his quarterback to play big. Kansas City receives little acclaim and doesn’t really have a national identity.

Kansas City’s 30-27 victory over the Denver Broncos came with Hill scoring all of the team’s touchdowns.

Miami Dolphins middle linebacker Kiko Alonso (47) celebrates an interception with teammate outside linebacker Donald Butler (56), during the second half of an NFL football game against the San Francisco 49ers, Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, in Miami Gardens, Fla.

“You give us an eight-point lead, man, I’ll bet my game check ain’t nobody’s going to score on us, ” Talib said.

Siemian went 20-of-34 in passing for a career-high 368 yards, three touchdowns and a 125.6 passer rating. The Chiefs defeated the Broncos 30-27 in overtime.

Eric and Les said it best, if he plays for the tie Broncos Country kills Kubiak for being John Fox-like. “I wouldn’t just play for the tie, either. But he’s certainly a big-time player and could have made a huge difference on that team”. Wish he could get out here with the win tonight, but that’s part of being a pro.

The Broncos’ playoff hopes are suddenly in doubt. And special teams didn’t help.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill became the first player to score a rushing, receiving and kick-return touchdown in the same game since Gale Sayers in 1965, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Denver’s 26.86% win probability wasn’t much higher. The defense did a good job, holding Denver to 3.3 yards per carry. The Chiefs had to use Santos twice in overtime, once to tie the game and once to win it.

“He came in here with the incident, obviously, and he’s handled himself in a good way”, Reid said.

Within two plays, Kansas City was on Denver’s 32 with a chance to win north of 50%.

While that would have been hard to take, at least it would have benefited the Broncos (7-4) in the standings, however.

Sure enough, the Chiefs offense had an answer. For Chiefs fans, they had finally beaten Elway. The Chiefs took possession at the Denver 48-yard line, the spot from which McManus attempted the failed kick. After hitting Tyreek Hill in front of cornerback Bradley Roby at the Denver 3 on fourth-and-10 with 15 seconds left, Alex Smith found Hill for the touchdown and Demetrius Harris for the tying 2-pointer. But after a first-down run for no gain, Kubiak and/or offensive coordinator Rick Dennison had quarterback Trevor Siemian throw back-to-back low-percentage passes. If McManus makes it, the Broncos are breathing down the Raiders’ backs with a sixth straight AFC West crown in sight. The defense mostly carried an unproductive offense and led the Chiefs to a 7-2 record before Houston’s return from offseason knee surgery. “D-Ware got offsides and I got an offises”.

But after a failed third-and-10, Kubiak made a decision to have McManus kick from 62 yards with 1:08 remaining.

“I got a lot of confidence in Brandon, a lot of confidence in our football team”, said Kubiak, who added that he had seen McManus make that length field goal in practice.

It was the best decision he could’ve made at that time, with only seconds to make it. It was very tough.
