Eden Hazard: ‘Chelsea locked in three-way battle for title’

“Tottenham is a really good team with great organization”, Conte said in his post match analysis.

“Man City and Liverpool”, Hazard told reporters when asked who his team’s title rivals were.

Conte has won plaudits for turning around Chelsea’s fortunes after defeats to Liverpool and Arsenal over September. Ever since Antonio Conte moved to three defencemen, the Blues have been unstoppable and came in on a six game winnning streak that brought them to the top of the standings.

Thus, here is the dream Chelsea back three, including one key January target… “We want to keep going like this”, the Belgian continued.

The primary reason for this change has been the extraordinary success of Conte’s move to a 3-4-2-1 formation, with the system seemingly giving Chelsea the flawless mix of attacking options and defensive resilience. I like to think my players are focused on the present, not the future so long-term. It would have been very hard to win the Tottenham game if we were the same team as two months ago.

“If we analyse the game, we were better”, said the Argentine.

It appears as though Redknapp was desperate to criticise us after seeing his beloved Tottenham lose, again, at Stamford Bridge. It’s good for Belgium that two players are fighting for the title in England, but I hope when we go to the national team we don’t fight!

“They scored a fantastic goal with a shot, then I liked a lot our reaction a lot”. They didn’t press us aggressively [in the second half]. Right mentality, right…. good performance.

“Everyone is confident. We are winning games, playing well, creating chances”.

Former Chelsea and Celtic striker Chris Sutton said on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5live on Monday evening (broadcast from 7pm, November 28, 2016) that Tottenham Hotspur will improve. “It is important our crowd live the game with great intensity and passion, because they can transfer this to the players”.

After a shaky start to life under the Italian, this was Chelsea’s seventh win on the trot in the league.

Signicantly fewer Chelsea fans will get to witness Chelsea’s next game on Saturday, away to Premier League title-favorites Manchester City.
