The Walking Dead Season 7, Episode 6 recap: WTF moments from ‘Swear’
It nearly feels like we’ve got to see the writers commit to one thing or another, whether it be giving us a smaller cast and more personal stories focusing only on them, or cutting out some personal stories in favor of bigger action set pieces that push the story forward. Tara will be initially pampered and welcomed by the Oceanside people until she strikes the community’s nerve with her story about the Alexandrians’ previous battle with Negan and his group.
Things got tense towards the end as Tara was tricked into thinking she was allowed to make her exit, only to be taken to the woods to be executed by members of the community.
This community is made up of nearly all women. I’d say so. Their a group full of kick-ass women.
Tara was then helped by Cyndie to go back to Alexandria, where she met Eugene (Josh McDermitt), and found out the things she missed while she was gone. After losing track of Tara (Alanna Masterson) way too long ago, she’s reintroduced as she comes into conflict with the all-female Oceanside. Basing on initial reviews, they are a group of people who loves to disguise themselves using zombie skins. “I’m f*****g heavy in those”, he told Comic Book at the San Diego Comic Con, hinting that the Savior leader’s baseball bat Lucille could do some more damage in the upcoming episodes. Interestingly, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Dwight (Austin Amelio) are shown, perhaps to remind viewers of what will cost them if they defy Negan. Of course, they do have their reasons.
As far as the last one is concerned, maybe it is.
While Tara eventually escapes the members of Beachfront, after promising to Cyndie that she’ll never speak about the community’s existence, we’re treated to one of the weirdest moments of the season, which borders on pure absurdity. But no, it turns out that not all walkers are covered in sand.

Negan and Carl’s interaction is similar to what happens in Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comics, and the villain will even personally escort Carl back to Alexandria Safe Zone. The show thrives on its characters. This gives fans an inside look to what happens in each of the characters’ lives. “We are the Saviors”. After all, Alexandria has no guns, while these women have – a lot of them.
