Chevrolet Searching For 750th NASCAR Series Win At Bristol

I want to do well in all three races and looking forward to see what I can do.

Along with the second and third-place finishes there were two other notable Bristol races for Truex – winning the 2004 Xfinity Series spring race and suffering a fractured right wrist in the 2013 Sprint Cup summer night race.

Next up is Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300, a race which Blaney returns as the defending champion in the No. 22 Team Penske Ford.

We’re backing him to make it a Bristol double, but only by the narrowest of margins as he is faced with an opponent that could outshine him if opportunities emerge during at key moments during the race.

“We were both spinning our tires on the final restart”, Blaney said in Victory Lane.

“To do that in that fashion coming from a lap down and being able to drive through the field like that says a lot about our race team and a lot about what as an organization we can do”. He was really down after the July 25 Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway when he slipped in Turn 2 while leading the last lap and lost to Kyle Busch.

Busch had just managed to depose Custer from the front on lap 81 when the second caution of the night came out for debris. You take away two things from watching that race, how well the auto raced and how well it handled. “It’s going to be a really busy weekend for me”. “I was committed to the top and was going as hard as I could”. On the final restart, Crafton’s truck sputtered, failing to come up to speed, allowing Blaney to take off and seal his fourth career NCWTS victory. He has one win and eight top 5s this year.

NASCAR fans will witness a blast from the past this weekend as Jeff Gordon brings back his classic rainbow paint scheme for one last race. We did get the one win (at Pocono in June) but there should have been more.

Blaney said he may have gone “a tiny early” on the restart where he was black-flagged but thought the penalty didn’t fit the crime. “Obviously the inside isn’t the preferred line on the restart but we got a good jump and were able to pull away”.

In the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings, just seven points covers the top three with Reddick narrowly ahead of Crafton and Erik Jones in third. I was just trying to be focused on the 29 (Blaney) and continue to drive up there and try to get him.

John Hunter Nemechek was third, followed by Daniel Hemric and Brandon Jones.

And that is what the truck series should be.
