Green Party switches strategy in Pennsylvania recount bid

Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri got straight to it by bringing up Steve Bannon’s despicable influence as Trump campaign strategist and now potential administration appointee.

When asked by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos if it is appropriate for Trump to make false statements like that, she said, “Many people are questioning the victory”.

“We did it by looking at the schedule and looking at, yes, the electoral map of 270, because that’s how you win the presidency”.

As top strategists and aides to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump sat down next to each other on Thursday to go over the past 18 months, pent-up rage bubbled over, The Washington Post reports.

But everyone knew or should have known that the wounds from an election that was as raw and divisive and negative as campaign 2016 would not be quickly healed.

In other words, since Democrats switched from the People’s Party to the Elite Professionals more than 20 years ago, the Republicans have won the Political Quinfecta – Congress, White House, state legislatures, governorships and the Supreme Court. It gathers operatives from almost all of the primary and general election campaigns, as well as a large contingent of journalists, with the stated goal of beginning to compile ahistorical record. The headline on their story described it as a “shouting match”.

“And she made it because she believed, and she had said during the campaign, that it is important to our democracy that whoever wins, that their opponent concede the election and be supportive of them becoming president-elect”, Mook said.

Robby Mook, Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager, said that the United States needs to investigate Russian Federation “intervening in the election”.

I was surprised by the presidential election.

President-elect Donald Trump starts his victory tour at a Carrier plant in IN on December 1, 2016, celebrating Carrier’s decision to keep a thousand jobs slated for Mexico within the United States.

Mook also blamed Clinton’s loss in part on the drip, drip, drip of apparently hacked Democratic emails.

Bannon has denied being a white nationalist and members of the Trump team have defended him.

“Oh, and that’s how you lost – How about, it’s Hillary Clinton?”.

It’s not a stretch to equate traditionally blue-collar Pueblo with Midwestern states of similar rural and suburban economies – Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin – that made the difference nationally in Trump’s election.

There’s no question that the newly elected president scored a great upset and deserves credit for running a far more shrewd campaign than his critics contended throughout the election. One might as well talk about the Kennedy landslide victory of 1960 if you want to crow about a Trump “landslide”. The idea that Donald Trump doesn’t have a mandate after he got 100 more electoral votes than Mitt Romney did, he got 306, it wasn’t close. Clinton’s lead over Trump in the national popular now exceeds 2.4 million votes, according to the Associated Press. The state elections commission will formally began the recount on Thursday.

But the Clinton team did not back down.

“In fact, I would argue that without those letters, we would have won those and that’s why we would have won the election”, said Mr. Mook on CNN’s “State of the Union”. Trump asked the crowd at a rally.

“Well he’s never spoken to the president of Taiwan”.

Trump enthusiastically supported the idea of using forms of torture, including waterboarding during his run for president. Outside the arena, protesters signaled their unwillingness to reconcile.
