The Flash 3×08 Invasion! preview
Wally is already training and honing his skills with the help of H.R. intending to help Barry when he is ready.

Also, old wounds were reopened when Cisco faced his first Christmas without his brother Dante. The last episode of “The Flash” left us with many unanswered questions. The crossover was a ton of fun but finally seems to have fixed the Barry and Cisco drama, which will be a huge event to finally move past that allows the show to focus on it’s actual antagonist for the remainder of the season.
While this final prophecy is the least clear, we imagine that it means someone will take the death of a Team Flash member extremely hard and may even be ultimately responsible for their loss.
Giving the neighborhood some Christmas spirit by using your very risky personality altering ice powers seems pretty unsafe there, DOCTOR Snow.
“Savitar was the first man ever granted speed”. Their connection stems from the Philosopher’s stone, which Julian found during a deadly expedition in India. Wally’s entire arc has revolved around trying to be a hero, despite the protestations of his family who worry that this could ultimately kill him. Maybe it is just me.
Jay Garrick is also a welcome change and Barry has no problem breaking down barriers to other Earth’s nowadays when he needs help. I also like how Jay can find Barry no matter where he is in time.
It was revealed toward the end of the fall finale of “The Flash” season 3 that Savitar could turn into a version of the Flash in the future. They then take Julian and put him in a holding cell. He asked Julian (Tom Felton) about his research on Savitar. Those predictions come from Savitar, confirming that he hates the Flash because in the future, the Flash defeats him. Cisco obliges and a new fight with Savitar ensues. This time, Wally jumps in to the fray. We learn years ago Julian started seeing visions of his dead sister.
Savitar then offered up the following prophecy: “One shall betray you, one shall fall, one will suffer a fate far worse than death”. Barry cuts the link and Julian awakens, unaware of what just happened. “It’s a whole different thing, dealing with Mark as Jay Garrick than it was dealing with Mark’s Trickster as Henry Allen”. On their return in this, Barry keeps this secret from him. Cisco detects the Philosopher Stone’s energy signature atop of Central City building, so Barry and Jay head out into the field. Apparently, Barry did something to trap him in the future, and he is looking forward to the opportunity to get his revenge now once he regains the necessary power.

Barry is heeding Jay’s advice – for the time being – to embrace the present (he and Iris are moving in together!), but if he can not reroute this possible future, then Iris will be the one to fall and losing his soulmate would be a fate worse than death for Barry. When they said, /u0027No, we want you to be the Trickster, /u0027 I nearly fell over. Caitlin responds by using her powers to make it snow. It’s an exciting moment, despite knowing that we have to wait a while before we get to see Wally in the suit again. If Barry can’t stop Savitar in the future, he wants to spend as much time with Iris as he can. Now Alchemy-free, Julian got Barry his job at the CCPD back and joins the West clan to celebrate the holiday. An adorable scene – but also, who shops for an apartment alone, signs a lease, and tells another human being, “OK, this is where we live now” without any input from them? Logic in these superhero situations typically dictate Julian would die heroically (or tragically) after helping the gang and learning Barry’s true identity, reseting the status quo and getting Barry back to work at CCPD. The episode ends there on a festive and happy note with only a hint of tragedy in the near future.
