Rodgers tosses 2 TD passes, Packers beat Eagles 27-13
There are only so many things you can call in those situations.

No, he didn’t throw the ball deep on each throw. Rodgers also was not sacked during the game.
The Detroit Lions, who lead the division by one game over Minnesota and two games over the Packers, play at the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Rodgers threw the pass into a tight window.
The quarterback was at the heart of Green Bay’s offence, putting up his best performance of the season. He made flawless passes to Adams on both TDs and another on a 50-yard gain in the third quarter. On a third-and-1 on the Packers’ second possession, Rodgers had Ty Montgomery, Randall Cobb and Jared Cook lined up with him in the backfield.
In the second half, Rodgers continued to carve up Philadelphia’s defense. It was a cheap shot but it is what it is.
Rodgers came out firing and led the Packers on consecutive touchdown drives to start the game. Another dumb penalty. They were flagged for having 12 men on the field, suddenly making it a 4th and 5 from the 35.
“This was a step in the right direction in a game we needed to take care of business, but we have a short week and we’ve got Houston coming in and we’ve got to have another similar performance”.
“Maybe he just had to go”, Linsley said.
It wasn’t that Aaron Rodgers didn’t want anyone to see what was wrong with his left leg.
In a Packers season full of unexpected weaknesses that have gotten weaker, Rodgers is by far their biggest strength standing.
Their highly-paid defensive line failed to generate much pressure, and the Eagles’ secondary is not good enough to hold up for very long against a quarterback and receivers who are that good. Rodgers was back in MVP form and the rest of the team rose to the occasion.
While Eagles did a great job of defending the run, they struggled against the pass. Rodgers did not allow Philadelphia’s pass rush to make an impact in the game.
Green Bay Packers’ Trevor Davis (11) scores a touchdown against Philadelphia Eagles’ Nolan Carroll (22) during the first half of an NFL football game, Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, in Philadelphia. “We’re one or two plays here and there on every drive where [if we make the stop] we’re off the field”. The Eagles should target a cornerback in the first round of the draft and then focus on getting offensive weapons for Wentz. He threw 15 touchdown passes and just three interceptions, which is remarkable considering the Packers lost four of those five affairs. Seems the position switch from outside linebacker to defensive end at age 30 has not served him well. Philadelphia tied the game at 7. Aaron Rodgers made it clear early on that he was not going to join them. He suggested the injury might have been in part due to waiting all day to play a night game for the second straight week.
But the defense harassed Wentz and shut down the Eagles’ inconsistent offense. Dorial Green Beckham had six receptions for 82 yards. But this is an Eagles team that was equally desperate, an Eagles team that entered Monday with a 4-0 home record. Linsley was penalized once for holding against the Eagles but otherwise played well, especially with rookie Jason Spriggs filling in for veteran T.J. Lang at right guard.

Green Bay (5-6) wasn’t losing because of Rodgers or the offense. “It’s about winning football games”. There is no room for error.
