F LeBron James went through with his threat to not stay with the Cavaliers at Trump SoHo on Tuesday night, instead staying at a nearby hotel.
Since Trump was elected President on November 8, several Cleveland Cavaliers players have taken to social media and other platforms to express their displeasure at the results.
James is also part of the Cavs’ contingent boycotting Trump SoHo during this stay in NY.
Maverick Carter, James’ business manager, took particular umbrage to the work choice. I think it was a distraction for me as much as a pain reliever. “But it’s just my personal preference”.
Jackson, while discussing an alleged incident when James wanted the Miami Heat to stay overnight in Cleveland in 2014, said he couldn’t hold up the team “because you and your mum and your posse want to spend an extra night in Cleveland”.
James and teammate JR Smith both appeared at a Clinton rally in Cleveland the Sunday before the election. “I understand people’s stance on Trump”, Shumpert said.
