Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott struggled last week in a loss to the New York Giants. We’ve seen it over and over this season: You don’t need to be good; you just need to be good enough. The Giants swept the two-game season series, and thus have the tiebreaker. When an opponent turns the ball over in its own territory, you must score points.

Bryant was obviously referring to the Cowboys lull against the Giants last week, dropping their record to 11-2.
But Winston, who had thrown three interceptions in the previous seven games, was picked off three times, completed less than half his passes for the first time since October 2 and lost a fumble. Not only was he superbly accurate throwing the ball to eight different receivers, he also helped the team with his running ability. Ezekiel Elliott continues to have an MVP-caliber season behind that big offensive line but the past few games have not been signal-caller Dak Prescott’s best as the team has struggled on third down. Cowboys defensive end Benson Mayowa threw that lineman, rookie Leonard Wester, to the ground and tripped up Martin for a 1-yard loss. The havoc he created allowed the Cowboys to control the line of scrimmage in the clutch. Prescott and Elliott are gifted, and could get better.
Why let a rookie quarterback possibly spoil it?
“Just take his situation day by day”, coach Jason Garrett said of Gregory.
It’s not clear that that was actually the right decision, given the team’s overall lackluster defensive performance, but it’s certainly a win for him that he was starting a full game with Conte moslty on the bench. Look for the Cowboys to get back on track to winning ways and secure a first round bye. The defense continued their strong play, and the offense found their early-season groove.
The Cowboys can make the switch following the Buccaneers game, but that’s it. In the past four games, wide out Dez Bryant has four touchdown grabs giving him giving him 50 since 2012, best in the NFL. Even though he sat out the rest of the season, Romo is still a veteran quarterback who can easily lead teams to victories. And two of the three most watched games of 2014 were Cowboys games, and two of the top four in 2013, and so on, and so forth.

However, things began to drastically change after Prescott was able to bag consecutive wins for Dallas. At times, offense was heavy on the dink-and-dunk, and settled for field goals too often, but showed it still could still function with the same efficiency as it had during it’s 11 game win streak.
