Duke’s Allen picks up technical foul after apparent trip
Allen said ” I apologize for what happened and I was just Frustrated out on the court I didn’t mean it at all”. In a game against Elon, Allen tripped opposing player Steven Santa Ana as he was driving down the lane. Visibly irate, Allen took a seat at the bench with a meltdown. Coach K hinted on Wednesday that he was not going to cave to the pressure of those calling for Allen to be suspended, but it appears he did just that.

Duke’s next game is the first of its conference slate, against Virginia Tech on December 31.
Because it’s Grayson Allen-and equally so because it’s Duke-the entire Internet went berserk, eagerly awaiting Allen’s punishment if only to revel in more Duke misfortune.
“I had a long talk with him afterwards”, Krzyzewski told the Associated Press. After the incident, he threw a tantrum on the bench that was caught by cameras. When I was at Duke, Coach K relentlessly reminded us that we could never hide from our actions.
But a Christmas miracle occurred in Durham some time last night when college basketball’s moral compass had an epiphany.
Those incidents, along with this latest development, led Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski tosuspend Allen from the team “indefinitely”.
What’s up everybody. I have a few things that I want to say about last night’s victory for Duke.

ESPN announcers, including former Duke players Jay Bilas and Jay Williams, criticized Allen and called for disciplinary action to be taken by either Krzyzewski or the ACC.
