Digital signage captures Death Star plans with Rogue One campaign

In “Rogue One”, without giving any spoilers, we see the true cost of war, the true amount of sacrifice that soldiers go through minus the distraction of superficial western themed lightsaber duels.

The idea behind these new “Star Wars Story” films is to tell original stories that take place at any desired point in the history established by the Star Wars Universe.

In our world, I hesitate to say that the movie “changed” the universe’s history in its release, simply because with the de-canonization of the European Union, this was a story yet to be told. These type of effects can become creepy and laughable very easily, but as far as I could tell the movie does it seamlessly.

The deleted archived scenes that Gareth Edwards ended up using were from the Rebellion’s attack on the Death Star in the final battle of A New Hope. For example, that front page shot clearly has Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) on the beaches of Scarif with the rest of the Rebels.

Other studios are also working on their own Star Wars game and Visceral Games is one of those studios with Amy Hennig being the game director.

Although he states that the opening crawl is vitally import to millions of Star Wars fans, in the interview it doesn’t seem that Perri himself could ever be considered one of those die hards. Understandably, the goal here is to make a standalone Star Wars movie, but it is very much a Star Wars movie, so teasing the original score with new music that is very similar winds up being somewhat of a distraction.

So as a spectator, one has to go into the movie with the acceptance that you “might” have a sense how things will transpire or where they will lead up to.

Star Wars is back for the second time in as many years, reinforcing Disney’s commitment to the annual (or thereabouts) roll-out of movies set a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. I was really impressed how entertaining it was and how the story felt new and yet familiar all at the same time. “Then you get home and you’re suddenly like, ‘Wow, I’ve got quite a few bruises going on here'”. Would a Rogue One opening crawl been nice? “Everything I showed him, he didn’t like”.

There. I said it. And some of the funner Easter eggs revolve around the now airing animated series Star Wars Rebels. No matter how dire things are on screen, he can say something sarcastic and get a laugh from the audience, which is most appreciated.
