As is the case in the Internet age, you can once again follow Santa Claus” journey using Google’s “Santa Tracker’.
The search engine is counting down to Santa and the reindeers’ take-off in less than a day’s time – when his progress will be charted live on Google Maps.
The tradition is carried on by NORAD, the joint air defense command established by the US and Canada in 1958 and is facilitated through volunteers and sponsors. The question is tied to a belief in the man in the red suit with the white fur trim and so I ask you today to recall memories reflecting your belief in Santa Claus, back in the day. Several housing projects received a special stop from Santa Claus on Friday evening.
The 61-year-old NORAD tradition started oddly enough by accident with a misprinted phone number on a local media advertisement in 1955. But when the little girl asked if he was Santa again, he made a decision to play along.
And when you put out some milk and cookies for Santa tonight, make sure to leave Rudolph and the other reindeer some carrot stick – they are bound to be exhausted by the time they get to Canada.
“We consider it an honor to issue this permit to Mr. Kringle and do our part to ensure another successful trip”, said CDFA Secretary Karen Ross.
– The nation will begin tracking Santa tomorrow as he travels the globe this Christmas Eve.
Children in the United States and Canada can call a toll-free number, 877-446-6723 (877-Hi-NORAD).
Navy Lieutenant Marco Chouinard says Christmas Eve Santa takes off, and they help track him with the heat sensor from Rudolph’s red nose. Encouraged by her father, she inquired of the Sun whether or not Santa Claus was real.
“Not only do kids have to be good boys and girls, but they also have to be in bed before he can bring presents”, he said.
He knows when you are sleeping, and he knows when you’re awake.
