NFC North title will come down to Lions-Packers in Week 17
This is Green Bay’s first Christmas Eve game since 2004, when the Packers went into the old Metrodome and pulled out a 34-31 win over the Vikings to win a third straight NFC North title. But, as Minnesota was eliminated from playoff consideration after losing for the eighth time in 10 games, in a 38-25 blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers, it was the defense that allowed the floodgates to open.

The Vikings’ playoff hopes were extinguished as the Packers capitalized on two turnovers to stay in control.
Davante Adams new gloves – Against Chicago, Adams had a return to some of the problems that he encountered last season, as he dropped the ball twice with line at his mercy, costing Green Bay eight points in the game.
After a second Vikings field goal, the Packers later recovered an aborted snap by Sam Bradford, as Kenny Clark came up with the football.
Through 112 meetings, which includes two postseason contests (1-1), the Packers hold a 59-51-2 edge over the Vikings in the all-time series. They needed to win their last two games just to make the playoffs and had a tiebreaker advantage over the Giants and Buccaneers, both of whom had also finished 10-6.
“Especially in these division games, it can be taken from you in a heartbeat, so we just got to continue to play well, prepare well, execute and finish”, Packers receiver Jordy Nelson said. Even when the Packers’ offense was reeling, Rodgers knew he could turn to Nelson. They would secure it – plus the home playoff game that goes with it – if they beat the Detroit Lions in next Sunday’s regular-season finale.
Before the sack, Rodgers was shredding the Minnesota defense, racking up three first-half passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown just before halftime.
The Vikings aren’t built to come from 15 behind, and they’ve been playing largely uninspired for most of the last two months. He missed several games with a torn meniscus.
” I recall watching a press conference on TV when it happened”, said Junio, who grew up in De Pere outside of Green Bay.

Off-field distractions didn’t exactly help this Vikings team, with their team plane skidding off the landing strip upon arrival last night.
