Carrie Fisher’s Daughter Billie Lourd Reveals Her Mom Raised Her “Without Gender”
Actress Debbie Reynolds died from a stroke on December 28, just one day after her daughter, actress Carrie Fisher, died from a heart attack, Variety reported. “So, she gets to do that and that’s what she wanted to do”.

“She was an incredibly strong person, but I told someone the other day after Carrie died, that it was going to really hurt her”. Debra Messing, star of the hit TV series “Will & Grace” – in which Reynolds played her on-screen mother – tweeted: “So heartsick”. “R$3 egarding the trials and tribulations of being a son or daughter of celebrities, no one helped or inspired me more than Carrie Fisher”, he continued. “It was more about leading by example, ‘” she said.
Ms Fisher died on Tuesday, four days after she suffered a cardiac arrest on a transatlantic flight from London to Los Angeles. That production also featured Reynolds’ daughter Carrie Fisher in her Broadway debut and George S. Irving, who won a Tony for his performance, both of whom died earlier this week. Reynolds married twice more.
Reynolds’ son Todd Fisher said his sister’s death was “just too much” for his mother. “What she gave us [in the show] was MGM training”. “Molly sails for America on the Titanic and becomes an internationally famous heroine, the “Unsinkable” Molly Brown, after her courage during the ship’s disaster”. “I like to remember the whole of my professional life as one wonderful party”. “It wasn’t like she was there for two minutes then ran away or started to cry”, Schiller says.
Fisher’s often complicated relationship with Reynolds was explored extensively in her work, including the semi-autobiographical novel Postcards from the Edge and her memoir and one-woman show Wishful Drinking.

The memories of Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher came quickly and vividly Thursday for legendary Fort Worth dancer Bruce Lea. “It’s very hard when your child doesn’t want to talk to you and you want to talk to them, and you want to touch them, you want to hold them”, Reynolds said of their estrangement.
