Chennai: Shortly after the AIADMK appointed Jayalalithaa’s aide V K Sasikala Natarajan as the interim General Secretary of the party on Thursday, a High Court Judge observed that there are many doubts over the death of the politician. Jayalalithaa was missing during much of the campaign for elections that returned her to power in May, leaving Sasikala to convey her orders to the party faithful.

Kollwood star Ajith Kumar is known to have great respect for AIDMK party and late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Even Jayalalithaa is said to have considered Ajith as her son.
The decision was taken in the party’s general body meeting. He also demands an investigation into the former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s death. The 60-year-old Sasikala, wife of M Natarajan, a former staff of the Tamil Nadu Information Department, had been introduced to Jayalalithaa in the early 1980s when Jayalalithaa had been the AIADMK’s Propaganda Secretary.
Though AIADMK party leaders are confirming that Ajith had met Sasikala, the star hero is yet to confirm the news.
Judge Vaidyalingam, a Madras High Court, clarified that this is his personal opinion and put it on record that he has doubts over the circumstances under which Jaya breathed her last.
Some party leaders had also urged Sasikala to contest from R.K. Nagar constituency and become the Chief Minister. During the state-wide tour expected to begin anytime after she formally takes charge of the party, Sasikala would visit families of those who died or committed suicide after hearing the death of Jayalalithaa.
In the morning, songs about Jayalalithaa and her speeches were being played across the venue. On the violence, another Spokesperson C Ponnayan said “If someone enters your house and creates problems, there is a consequence- an action has got a reaction”.

They included a resolution demanding Jayalalithaa’s birthday be celebrated as “National Farmers’ Day”, and the resolutions that she be conferred with the Magsaysay award and the Nobel peace prize.
