The Pittsburgh Steelers’ identity has, in recent years, been defined by three men: quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le’Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Roethlisberger completed all seven of his passes on those two drives for 162 yards.

If Pittsburgh (12-5) wants to reach the AFC title game for the first time in six years, the Steelers don’t have much of a choice.

Obviously this is not the kind of attention PIttsburgh needs, as it now prepares for a divisional showdown next Sunday in Kansas City.

Kevin Nogle, of Dolphins blog The Phinsider and Jeff Hartman of Steelers blog Behind the Steel Curtain, strap on the pads and debate who will cover the spread in Sunday afternoon’s AFC Wild Card game. He is one of four players in National Football League history with three 200-yard games in one season. Moore finished with 289 passing yards 1 touchdown and 1 interception. He scored two touchdowns in the first 8:10 of the game from 50 and 62 yards out. Other than that, the Dolphins never managed to get anything going on Sunday and looked pathetic for most of the game.

In the second quarter of the Dolphins’ 30-12 loss to the Steelers, quarterback Matt Moore fell victim to charging linebacker Bud Dupree, who illegally pounded his helmet into Moore’s jaw, forcing the quarterback’s head to jerk back as his body crumbled to the ground. Gase recalls many Denver players hesitated to celebrate because they were unsure whether the game was over. If this injury hinders his ability to escape the Chiefs’ pass rush, it could be a big issue for the Steelers offense coming off an explosive performance in the first round against the Dolphins. Pittsburgh came in 4-1 and left with Roethlisberger’s left knee in need of surgery and the defense in need of serious fix after Miami’s Jay Ajayi piled up 204 yards on the ground.

Porter was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and won a Super Bowl with the Steelers in 2006.

Against the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills-both teams which were imploding at the time-he was far more decisive because neither team could pressure him much. Brown had two touchdowns of his own and 124 yards. The extra point was no good, but Pittsburgh still led 20-3. The Steelers will have the toughest route to the playoffs.
