The CW renewed all of their DC shows, again

The CW has kept the drama to a minimum when it comes to the DC superhero shows that decorate a large part of their schedule by offering early renewals to the multitude of series now airing on the network.

No surprise here, but Supernatural has just been renewed for yet another season. With the response from Ackles, fans have nothing to worry about.

One critic asked about the two CW shows – “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” and “Jane the Virgin” – that featured abortion storylines this fall.

The fate of The CW’s other shows still remains to be seen.

Pedowitz’s decision to leave the critically acclaimed show on the air is indicative of the risks he is willing to take as the Head of Entertainment since 2011. But viewership lagged as the series continued.

The CW is, like, the most understanding boyfriend ever. Even without great ratings, they have another life online, and that’s becoming more important for the CW as a business, he said. “Certain shows are better suited to be 13, 16 or 18”, he said before stressing that renewed DC Comics fare like Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow and The Flash are built to sustain full-season orders. Last year, the network made the renewals in March, extending it to a whopping 11 CW series.

We already know that Reign and The Vampire Diaries are ending this season.

Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW, shared the companies philosophy behind renewing the programs this soon in a statement. This season pushed it past The CW’s previous longest-running show, 7th Heaven, which also stood as The WB’s longest-running show with 11 seasons.
