“It may include staying (with) Obamacare because they may decide for their state that they want to keep the insurance they have”, said Cassidy.
While the process of repealing the ACA is likely to begin this spring, there is even more uncertainty regarding when it will be replaced.
State Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler estimates 1 million people in Washington have received health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act – Obamacare. The proposal wouldn’t fully repeal the law and would push numerous toughest decisions about coverage to the states.
Trump has promised that no one’s insurance coverage will be taken away and that people covered under the ACA can expect to have great health care that’s less expensive.

She thinks a big change could have an impact on jobs here in Pennsylvania. “The Court has had many opportunities to overturn Roe v. Wade and has instead repeatedly reaffirmed a woman’s right to make abortion decisions for herself”, says Julie Rikelman, litigation director at the Center for Reproductive Rights.
Randy Vines, the owner of STL Style in St. Louis, was horrified by the possibility that Congress could dismantle the Affordable Care Act.
People with pre-existing conditions are basically going to be completely screwed because they won’t be able to get insurance, and young people will be kicked off of their parents’ insurance as soon as they exit college.
They say their plan is not flawless, but it’s a start.
Although there are varying interpretations of the effect of the order, some have suggested that Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., when he is confirmed as Health and Human Services Secretary, could issue a blanket hardship exemption from the individual mandate to everyone that doesn’t have health insurance.
The proposal is called “The Patient Freedom Act of 2017”.
