Nintendo has not issued details of available items on their online store but it is confirmed that “Fire Emblem Heroes” download will be free of cost. The “Fire Emblem” franchise has always been a part of Nintendo’s roster, and making a mobile game out of it only seemed logical. But you won’t have to worry about that here. Fire Emblem: Heroes gives a smartphone version to the franchise which is very well-known among the Nintendo’s loyalists, though maybe not as much as IP’s like Mario or Zelda. You are tasked with preventing the destruction of the land of Askr, using new and past heroes from the Fire Emblem series to support your fight.
Players can also earn orb while playing the game, or buy them through in-app purchases. The publication cites “Super Mario Run” as an example. In reality, though, the combat system feels rather dumbed down, compared to other games in the genre.
The release of Fire Emblem Heroes is scheduled for today, February 2, 2017. The familiar weapon triangle battle mechanics (think Rock, Paper, Scissors) is here as well, so it should be easy to jump right back into the action.
