USA retailer Nordstrom drops Ivanka Trump’s ‘toxic’ brand
Brands are so important that Nordstram dropped Ivanka Trump’s clothing line in a moment’s notice, saying the brand was making enough money.

On Thursday, Shannon Coulter, the co-founder of #GrabYourWallet posted the following message on Twitter, “Big news everyone”.
The chain cuts approximately 10 per cent of the brands it carries every year if they don’t meet expectations.
The decision by Nordstrom comes amidst calls for boycotts against those retailers that carry the Trump brand of products. As first reported by Racked, jewelry from the First Daughter’s fashion line has disappeared from the department store’s website this morning.
Customers supporting the Trump administration began tweeting at Nordstrom that they would now boycott the store because of its decision to drop the brand.
The #GrabYourWallet campaign has targeted 60 companies with connections to the Trump name.
“Nordstrom ordered both apparel and shoes for the spring, and followed through with the orders on the apparel”, a spokesperson for the Ivanka Trump brand told Refinery29 on Friday.
Since Thursday afternoon, there are just remaining four items from the brand on the website – “three pairs of shoes and one dress, all marked down 40 percent”. The company has not said that the campaign has anything to do with its decision, or if it plans on picking up Ivanka’s brand again in the future.
In November, Nordstrom’s CEO sent out an email to staff that highlighted the difficulty of selling Trump’s brand.
Ivanka Trump has recently moved to Washington to work as an adviser to her father. She was last spotted with her father in the West Wing, according to CNN. Its official statement did not include the influence of the campaign.

As of press time, Neiman Marcus public relations had not responded to FORBES’ requests for comment. Coulter then took the hashtag to encourage others who are upset with Trump’s policies, actions, and corporate ties to boycott companies associated with the Trump family.
