Get ready to go back to the Upside Down in the Stranger Things season 2 teaser, which premiered during Super Bowl LI. So far all we’ve got are some teasers and clues about the new season, but now we know when we’ll get a first look of the new season, thanks to Entertainment Weekly.

Although the 30-second teaser did not reveal much, it did give us a little sneak peek into what season 2 will hold.

The air date for the highly-anticipated follow-up to the breakaway Netflix show was unveiled during a short teaser that was shown during the Super Bowl in the United States on Sunday.

In keeping with the show’s running theme, the second season of the smash hit series will return on the creepiest night of the year.

So what will the new season of “Stranger Things” have in store for the fans? The show’s executive producer Shawn Levy (Arrival) told EW: “The Demogorgon was destroyed but evil wasn’t”. The first season, featuring eight episodes, received critical acclaim from TV reviewers. I suppose we’ll just really have to wait and see. But, I will say Season 2 has a bigger cast and is definitely loyal to the kind of magical storytelling that we established in the first season. The titles were released earlier “to provide some hint of where we were going in season two without giving anything away, ” according to director and creator Matt Duffer.

The world of Upside Down is not done with the kids from Stranger Things.

“We obviously have this gate to another dimension, which is still very much open in the town of Hawkins”, Ross Duffer told EW a year ago.
