Chevy Camaro Price: Starts at $26695

That makes the price of entry $1,995 more over the base price of a 2015 Camaro, though GM did away with the 1LS/2LS trim levels in the process.

Mustang has a strong lead over the Camaro this year for the sales crown as its sales through July of 76,772 are up more than 51 percent. Announced as Chevy’s retort to the latest Ford Mustang back in May, the Camaro will be offered as a coupe or convertible, and though there’ll be a relatively small number of models and trims, the company is also throwing a fair amount of options into the mix for personalization.

Higher up on the hierarchical ladder lies the 2SS version, which comes to the party equipped with leather-covered heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, wireless charging, head-up display and a Bose sound system.

There will be a “staggered launch” of 2016 Camaro models, Doran said. “The only additional features available are Magnetic Ride Control suspension, a power sunroof, in-dash navigation, dual-mode exhaust system and an eight-speed automatic transmission”. It’s not what we’d call a full-on “configurator”-you can’t select individual options and end up with a build-specific MSRP-but it’s a fun way to play around and try out different color combos, stripe packages, and interior appointments”.

“There’s practically no such thing as a factory-stock Camaro and Chevrolet understands how important customization is to owners”, said Christensen.

Custom accessories are also available, including LED-illuminated Chevy Bowtie badges and smoked taillights. You can customize your 2016 Camaro by checking the visualizer at this link.

Chevrolet’s Camaro accessories are designed and tested to the same standards as regular-production components, offering peace of mind and uncompromising quality.

New standard features on the 2016 Camaro include MyLink infotainment with Apple CarPlay, OnStar 4G LTE, drive mode selector, remote start, keyless entry, auto climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, backup camera, capless fuel filler, power-adjustable front seats and new knee airbags. It offers more technology and performance than the previous version.

However, that $26,695 price is for the standard 275-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is new for this model.

The 2016 Camaro SS 6.2L LT1 V-8, SAE-certified at 455 horsepower (339 kW) and 455 lb-ft of torque (617 Nm), making it the most powerful Camaro SS in history.
